Writer-director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon reunite after more than a decade for part five of the action-thriller franchise. A breach of CIA black ops files leads CIA agent Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander) to hacker and former CIA Treadstone logistics technician Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles). Lee gains permission from CIA director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) to lead the mission to track down the files, Parsons and fugitive Treadstone assassin Jason Bourne (Damon), should Parsons still be linked to him. Bourne is in Athens, quietly existing on hard-won prize money from illegal bare-knuckle fights. With the Greek state in turmoil, Parsons and Bourne meet amid a heated political demonstration in the capital’s central square. Bourne isn’t interested in helping Parsons expose the Agency’s dark secrets, but the amnesiac is keen to learn what she has discovered about his pre-Treadstone life. Unfortunately, it’s at this point that the CIA shows up, intent on permanently silencing them. With Vincent Cassel and Riz Ahmed.
