Action comedy. Written and directed by Elizabeth Banks (who also stars), this third instalment in the Charlie’s Angels series stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the new generation of Angels: Sabina, Elena and Jane. This time out, the Angels are working for a private detective company named the Townsend Agency, headed up by Charlie (Robert Clotworthy). When the agency is informed that Elena Houghlin (Scott) – an engineer working for tech entrepreneur Alexander Brok (Sam Claflin) – wants to expose her superiors for creating a potentially deadly device called Calisto, she gets recruited as an honorary Angel to help destroy Calisto before the device can be duplicated. Under the guidance of Charlie’s assistant Rebekah (Banks), the Angels fight to protect this revolutionary technology from becoming weaponised. But as their assignment becomes increasingly treacherous and complicated, they must rely on each other to get the job done and figure out who they can really trust.
