Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr star in writer-director Luke Greenfield’s police-impersonation comedy. Friends Ryan (Johnson) and Justin (Wayans Jr) aren’t successful. The current pinnacle of Ryan’s acting career is a herpes advert. Video game designer Justin’s pitches are perpetually rejected. When they’re invited to their high-school reunion, they decide to attend dressed in police uniforms that Justin acquired while he was researching a potential game. The get-together reinforces their underachievement. But on the way home, they experience something unfamiliar: female attention. Realising that it’s because of the uniforms, Ryan persuades Justin to continue the charade. And while their illegal imposture leads to romance for Justin, it also perilously exposes them to dangerous mobsters. With Nina Dobrev, Rob Riggle, James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia. First play on Film4 (previously seen on Channel 4).
